oofie is made and sold by a sole trader based in Australia. Buying oofie means you agree to what's on this page. It's written in plain English on purpose — if anything here is unclear, email [email protected] and ask.
oofie is a small app for Mac. It reacts with sound when it hears you hit or knock your Mac, and it has a mode where its reactions defend AI. You buy it once. There's no subscription.
It only runs on a Mac with macOS 13 or later. It does not run on Windows, iPhone, iPad or Android. Please check this before you buy.
You're paying now for something you receive later. Specifically:
Either way you are not left holding nothing. See Refunds for the detail.
Prices are in US dollars. If your card is in another currency, your bank converts it and may add its own fee — that fee is your bank's, not ours.
Payment is handled by Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe and are never seen or stored by us.
By email, to the address you enter at checkout. Keep an eye on your spam folder, and email us if it hasn't arrived when it should have.
oofie is for your own personal use, on Macs you own. Don't resell it, re-upload it, or pass the download around. oofie is protected by copyright: redistributing it is infringement, and I reserve the right to act on it.
Your Australian Consumer Law rights are not affected by anything on this page. If you're an Australian consumer, you have guarantees that cannot be excluded — including that what you buy is of acceptable quality and does what it's described as doing. If oofie fails to meet those guarantees you may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund, and to compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss. Nothing here limits that.
Beyond those rights, oofie is provided as it is. It's a novelty app: it uses your Mac's microphone to listen for a knock, and it will sometimes react when you didn't hit anything, or fail to react when you did. That's the nature of it, not a fault.
