The short version. This website collects nothing about you. If you pre-order, we get your email address and nothing else. The app itself sends nothing anywhere. We don't sell or share your details, and we won't email you things you didn't ask for.
This website
No analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising, no cookies. Clicking the Mac on the home page is just an animation running in your browser. Nothing you do here is recorded or sent anywhere.
If you pre-order
Checkout is handled by Stripe. Stripe collects your email address and your payment details.
- Your card details never reach us. They go to Stripe and stay with Stripe. We can't see them.
- We do receive your email address, because it's how we send you the app and tell you what happened with the pre-order.

What we do with your email
Two things only:
- Send you the download when oofie is released.
- Tell you if the pre-order didn't reach 100 and your money has been refunded.
That's it. No newsletter, no marketing list, and your address is never passed to anyone else. You won't get anything from us that isn't one of those two emails.
The app itself
oofie listens through your Mac's microphone to notice a knock or a smack. It's worth being precise about what that does and doesn't mean:
- Audio is analysed on your Mac, as it happens, purely for how loud and how sudden a sound is.
- Nothing is recorded. No audio is saved to disk, and none of it is ever uploaded.
- oofie has no account, no server and no analytics. It doesn't phone home.
- Your settings and any reaction lines you write stay on your own Mac.
How long we keep it
Your email stays in Stripe as part of the payment record, which we're required to keep for tax and accounting purposes. Outside of that, we don't keep a separate list.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. If you're in the UK or EU, you also have rights under the GDPR, including the right to a copy of your data and the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Email [email protected] and say what you want done. One caveat, honestly stated: records tied to a payment may have to stay in Stripe for the legally required period even after you ask for deletion.

If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
