Refunds

Last updated 18 August 2026

The short version. If the pre-order doesn't reach 100 by 1 September 2026, you're refunded automatically and you don't have to do anything. Before oofie is released you can also ask for your money back at any time, for any reason. After it's released, if it doesn't work properly on your Mac, you get a refund.

If the pre-order doesn't reach 100 by 1 September 2026

Every payment is refunded in full, automatically, to the card you paid with. You don't need to ask, email anyone, or fill anything in. You'll get an email telling you it's happened.

If you change your mind before release

Email [email protected] and ask. You'll get a full refund, no questions and no argument. You don't have to give a reason.

After oofie is released

If it doesn't work on your Mac, or it isn't what was described on the site, email us and you'll get a refund. Tell us what went wrong if you can face it — it genuinely helps fix things.

The one thing worth saying plainly: oofie only runs on a Mac with macOS 13 or later. That's on the home page, on the checkout, and in the Terms. But if you bought it having missed that and it won't run, just email us — you'll still get your money back.

How to ask for a refund

  1. Email [email protected].
  2. Use the same email address you bought with, if you can — it makes finding the payment instant.
  3. You'll get a reply within a couple of days. It's one person, not a support department.

How long it takes

Refunds go back to the original card. Once issued, Stripe says it typically takes 5–10 business days to appear on your statement. That last stretch is your bank's timing, not ours.

If you paid in a currency other than US dollars, your bank's exchange rate may have moved between the payment and the refund, so the figure that lands can differ slightly. That difference is your bank's, and it's outside our control.

Problems with a payment

If something looks wrong — charged twice, an amount you don't recognise, anything — email us before you raise it with your bank. It's almost always faster to sort out directly, and we'd rather fix it than have you fighting a chargeback.

Your rights under Australian Consumer Law

If you're an Australian consumer, you have guarantees that can't be excluded, and nothing on this page limits them. This policy is meant to be more generous than the legal minimum.
